To ensure that children live in school and teachers have the best job in the world.

Our society has come with the greatest volume of discoveries in the last 100 years since the very beginning of humanity. It is almost incredible how every day our societies and the environment in which they live continually change. The National Education Institute is here to monitor, analyse and translate these changes and innovations into the education of the generation not only of our children, but also of their educators and directors. This is the only way to prepare our children for a world that will be in 20 or 30 years old

What exactly do we do?

The National Education Institute of the Czech Republic is a school educational, methodological, curric, research, professional and advisory institution for pre-school, primary, secondary and higher vocational education. It also extends to basic artistic, linguistic, non-formal, interest and further training.

What is our main job?

The aim is to ensure the systematic transfer of educational innovation from the central conceptual level to school practice in the regions. Regional offices, which act as support centres for educators in the region, are a key element in our work. We are also developing framework curricula for pre-primary, primary, primary arts and secondary education, providing methodological support for schools and educators and targeted training for educators, supporting strategic management in schools and territories, supporting school leaders.
