The National Association of Librarians and Public Libraries of Romania (ANBPR) is member of the National Coalition for Digital Skills and Jobs and has more than 3300 active members, with forty-one branches across the country. The association also contribute to the education of librarians, is active in providing social inclusion services for disadvantaged or marginal people and aims at increasing access to cultural education through direct connection with local communities.
ANBPR promotes the dialogue between the main cultural actors in rural or urban areas in Romania.
ANBPR promotes the concept of a modern public library system and has advocated for the democratization of the provision of services on the principle of adapting them to the current needs of the various categories of users, with a special emphasis on services for adults.
