The Hungarian Ministry of Human Resources falls under the leadership of Zoltán Balog, the Hungarian Minister of Human Resources.

The Ministry’s functions are centered around ensuring the functioning of the national healthcare, welfare and social system in Hungary, as well as developing education across all levels, and promoting the interests of children, young people and the protection of cultural heritage. Under the broad umbrella of responsibilities of the department, issues such as healthcare and administration reforms, pension system concepts and welfare and education provision are prioritised.

To support sustainable and digital education, the Hungarian Ministry of Human Resources publishes regular news and updates of upskilling events on their website, and organises digital skills initiatives for a large segment of the Hungarian population, such as the Digital Skills Theme Week – an event which in 2016 gathered over 70,000 students, 5,000+ teachers and 700+ schools.
