The Danish IT Society (Dansk IT) is Denmark’s largest network for IT users and professionals and represents more than 11,000 members. It is working to promote and support IT as it creates value for many sectors in the Danish society.
Dansk IT aims to unite, strengthen and develop the skills and expertise of IT users and professionals, helping the members focus on their career through continued competence development and participation. In doing so, the Danish IT Society strives for Denmark to be a leading country through their IT and professional advancements. The association follows key values to fulfil its mission, namely that it operates on a basis of professionalism, accountability, independence, dialogue, and credibility.
With its values and expertise, Dansk IT is a relevant participant in the debate on information technology. The association, its board, professional councils and committees are consultative parties for the legislation and often act as special experts. The association also holds courses, conferences, member events and has a wide range of networks, just as it is the certifying authority for many internationally recognised IT educations for both IT users and professionals.
