Czechitas is a non-profit organisation and a member of the Czech Republic National Coalition. The organisation focuses not only on women and girls, but also children, adolescents and younger people to promote diversity, inclusion and an improved digital competence level for all. Czechitas organises a wide range of educational events, especially for children and adolescents between the ages of 8 and 18, that aim to encourage the development of programming skills and use of educational tools from an early age.

Since 2014, Czechitas has organised more than 600 one-day workshops and longer courses for over 18,000 participants regardless of age, former education, backrground or work experience. Starting in Brno and Prague, the organisation now runs educational programs in Ostrava, České Budějovice, Zlín, Olomouc, Liberec and Mladá Boleslav with the support of Google. (Czechitas was the first organisation in Central and Eastern Europe to receive a grant by Google.org for their Digital Academy course in 2016, and in 2018 received a second grant, allowing the roll out to other cities and regions of the Czech republic).
