The ICEI is an institution belonging to a public university with strong public service awareness: The ICEI must overwhelmingly revert to Spanish society the resources it places in the institution, by responding to the problems affecting it and by referring to the creation of scientific knowledge applied to the needs of a modern and integrated society in a globalised world such as Spain. Therefore, the ICEI’s thematic agenda cannot ignore the issues of greatest concern to Spanish society, especially those linked to international relations, interpreted from a multidisciplinary perspective.
