Cisco NetAcademy is an international IT and cybersecurity education program, the oldest and longest runnning part of the wider Cisco program on corporate social responsibility. The organisation offers a wide range of online trainings (free and paid) for employees and jobseekers, as well as upskilling opportunities for information and communication technology (ICT) professionals and other digital experts.

With most the trainings focusing online Cisco NetAcademy provides an extensive repository of learning material and resources from beginner to more advanced level. Training topics vary: from general development and improvement of digital skills and competences, to software analysis, coding and programming, and emerging technologies like Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Cybersecurity amongst others.

Cisco NetAcademy dates back to 1997, when Cisco donated some network and information technology (IT) equipment to local schools, which went unused due to lack of knowledge and training on how to work with the technology. Inspired by this experience, Cisco developed an IT and cybersecurity education program to support students, employees and ICT professionals on their individual learning paths, with the aim of improving the overall talent pool and the sector’s competitiveness.
