The Digital Skills and Jobs Platform is the home of digital skills and jobs in Europe and the heart of the Digital Skills and Jobs Community.
It has been created as one of the initiatives launched under the Connecting Europe Facility Program. It will contribute to the Digital Europe Program , an ambitious EU program that try to make Europe more competitive in the global digital economy through digital capacity-building and ensuring a wide use of digital technologies across the EU. Enforcing the digital skills pillar of the program, the Platform aspires to boost the digital competencies of European society and workforce.

Additionally, a collaborative space is available for Community members to network, interact and grow together.

A big contribution comes also at national level from the National Digital Skills & Jobs Coalitions. National coalitions play a key role in fostering digital skills not only at national but also at European level. They are among the key content providers of the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform. They share key information about national digital skills policies and initiatives, best practices in digital skills area, as well as training opportunities, events and digital skills resources. Currently there are National Coalitions established in 25 EU member states. Six National Coalitions have their website connected to the Platform, and many other will be soon connected too.
The Cyprus National Coalition for Digital Skills and Jobs is coordinated by the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy who is responsible for developing and implementing a national digital policy and strategy in Cyprus. The Coalition consists of more than 50 members from the public and the private sector who commit to jointly achieve the objective of a digitally fit society, at all levels, maximizing impact, exploring synergies and collaboration and avoiding duplication of effort. Via the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Cyprus is also currently developing the national platform of the Coalition, as part of a pan-European project supported by the CEF funding. Training opportunities by all Coalition members will be uploaded on the platform, providing a full overview of nation-wide programs, accessible to all citizens. In addition, the platform will include, at a later stage, e-learning material in selected areas.
