The Festival del Digitale Popolare, organised from 4 to 6 October by Fondazione Italia Digitale, a member of the National Coalition for Digital Skills, aims to promote the culture of digital and innovation, aiming to bring people closer to the vast digital world. The title of this third edition summarises the meaning of the festival, ‘Reducing distances, overcoming inequalities’.
Minding the digital skills gap
Francesco Di Costanzo, President of Fondazione Italia Digitale, explains: “We were inspired by an 11-point document, ‘Mind the gap’, drawn up by the Fondazione Italia Digitale and presented in Rome, in the Chamber of Deputies, in the presence of all political forces, last March. The document brings together ideas, policies and suggestions for an increasingly digital Italy, outlining a clear and bold roadmap to tackle the challenges of the future, which will ideally also be the themes at the heart of this year’s festival.”
The rich and varied programme also includes the participation of Repubblica Digitale, represented by Nello Iacono, coordinator of the initiative at the Department for Digital Transformation of the Prime Minister’s Office. His speech is part of the Govtech panel: the PA to reduce the distance, scheduled for Saturday, September 5 at 3 pm in one of the structures set up in Piazza San Carlo. The full composition of the panel is as follows:
