The Champions for the Digital Decade (C4DD) project has launched a new Open Call to provide targeted Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP), specifically supporting the work of National Coalitions for Digital Skills and Jobs. The call is now open and will run until 31 August 2025, 23:59 CEST.

This initiative aims to strengthen the role of National Coalitions (NCs) in the European digital skills ecosystem by supporting their outreach efforts and reinforcing their national digital presence. Funding will help enhance the visibility, usability, and interoperability of national websites linked to the Digital Skills & Jobs Platform, ensuring that individuals and organisations can easily access timely and high-quality information on digital training, events, funding, and upskilling opportunities.

Support is available for both newly established and existing National Coalitions. While new NCs may use the funding to build and launch their digital platforms, established ones can focus on upgrading infrastructure, improving content and functionality, and expanding stakeholder engagement. In both cases, the overarching goal is to foster collaboration, boost accessibility, and strengthen the exchange of digital skills initiatives across Europe.

Background & aims of C4DD project

Launched in March 2025, the Champions for the Digital Decade (C4DD) project aims to reinforce the development, maintenance, and expansion of national digital skills ecosystems. The project, funded under the DIGITAL Europe Programme of the European Union, builds on previous efforts financed under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). The C4DD consortium is composed of 17 members, including 15 National Coalitions for Digital Skills and Jobs, working together to strengthen digital skills initiatives across Europe.

National Coalitions for Digital Skills & Jobs – overview

National Coalitions for Digital Skills & Jobs (NCs) are multi-stakeholder partnerships based across EU Member States, bringing together a wide range of actors. At the EU level, they play a crucial role in achieving the 2030 targets set out in the European Commission’s Digital Decade Policy, including equipping 80% of Europeans with basic digital skills and reaching 20 million ICT specialists in employment. They also support the broader goals of the Commission’s Union of Skills. At the national level, NCs add value by improving access to information through websites connected to the Digital Skills & Jobs Platform—offering updates on funding, training, best practices, and key developments—thus strengthening the digital skills ecosystem in complementary ways.
