A new call has been opened as part of the “EIT HEI Initiative” by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and its coordinator, EIT RawMaterials, to encourage innovation in higher education.

The Deep Tech Talent Initiative, the EIT’s new flagship program that aims to teach one million European talent by 2025, will be a new addition to this year’s request. This initiative will focus on educating tech talent in higher education.

Organizations are invited to get started on their application preparation by reading the complete call text, which is now available on the EIT HEI Initiative website.

The application system is now open, applying consortia will have until 28 February 2023 17.00 CET to submit their applications. The selected projects will be announced in May 2023.

The recently released call will pick up to 16 projects based on consortia made up of academic and non-academic organizations. The EIT HEI Initiative network welcomes applications from HEIs and collaborators from all European countries, including those affiliated with Horizon Europe.

A series of webinars will be held to present the EIT HEI Initiative’s new call in more detail and answer applicants’ questions.
