This ten-part series introduces adult educators to selected AI tools for practical application in their work.
The series includes 10 modules, each with a video tutorial and explanatory text, accompanied by live webinars. Participants can also earn an AI certificate.
Content and Structure
The AI series “AI Tools in Adult Education: Apply and Reflect“ is available as a free online self-study course tailored to adult education professionals.
The series covers ten modules, with new topics on AI tools and their application in adult education developed monthly. Content is created on a short-term basis to keep pace with rapid developments in AI.
Each video tutorial provides a live demonstration of AI tools, guidance on legal and secure use, critical insights, and expert tips. Live online webinars supplement the learning process throughout 2024. The video tutorials and explanatory texts are freely accessible under a Creative Commons license, independent of the webinars.

- AI Support for Working with Videos
- AI in Online Meetings and Webinars
- Generating Images with AI – Practical Tools for Adult Education
- Locally Installed AI Tools: Data Protection and More
- GPTs for Educational Purposes – Specific AI Chatbots
- Reading, Listening, Speaking – AI Language Tools for Adult Education

The Certificate
Participants can take a multiple-choice test on Moodle after each module, allowing them to earn an adult education AI certificate by the end of 2024. To qualify, participants must pass at least seven out of ten modules. Registration for the Moodle course in 2024 is available via self-enrollment. Tests open a few months after each webinar.
