From 7 to 11 October 2024, people from the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning and bio-medicine will have the opportunity to participate in a new initiative organised by AI Cluster Bulgaria, Health and Life Sciences Cluster Bulgaria and Venrize – AI/ML and BRAIN TECH BOOTCAMP 1.0.

Why participate

The aim of the program is to expand the knowledge of the participants in the defined fields and to train them for specific technological skills through lectures and practices. During the study period, the environment will be focused on developing a better understanding of science and modern technology. In addition to the training program, participants will have the opportunity to make contacts with specialists in the industry and, upon good performance, to receive assistance in setting up their own company.

About the programme

The project will last 5 days and will include lectures led by prominent scientists on topics such as neural networks, brain implants, neurotechnology and the ethics of artificial intelligence. In addition, participants will work on projects in groups on issues related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, neurotechnology and medicine, such as:

  • Neuromorphic/artificial intelligence chips
  • Green AI – low power consumption / Edge computing
  • Sensors, implants and surgical robots
  • Brain imaging

The best ideas presented by the projects will be further trained and stimulated towards the creation of a high-tech startup company.

Who and when can participate

The initiative is focused on masters and doctoral students between 21 and 40 years who already have experience in the fields of AI, machine learning, electronics, medicine and bio-medicine. Registration for the course is open until September 20, 2024, and applicants will be selected until October 1, 2024.
