Are you excited about the potential of computer education? Do you believe in equipping learners not only with the ability to use digital technologies, but also with the skills to understand and create with them? The European Commission invites all curricula developers, educators and computer education experts from various sectors to participate in the Commission’s expert group to develop guidelines on computer teaching.
Objectives of the Expert Group
The Expert Group is a direct follow-up to the Council Recommendation on improving the provision of digital skills and competences in education and training. In particular, the expert group will play a key role in:

Develop guidelines to empower teachers with pedagogical expertise in computer science.

Articulate a coherent understanding of computer education for both learners and educators.

Identify and address the common challenges facing education systems in the efficient delivery of IT education.
The outcome of the work of the Expert Group will contribute to the development of guidelines and quality requirements in the field of IT, as welcomed in the Council Recommendation from the Member States.
