The trial, which involves 350 schools in Europe and which brings together in the partnership 17 subjects, including the Ministries of Education of France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg and Slovenia, as well as Universities and Research Institutions, sees for our country the coordination of the Ministry of Education and Merit and the collaboration of CNR-ITD and INDIRE. Objective of the project

  • Provide teachers with a basic knowledge of artificial intelligence
  • Promote a positive, conscious and ethical use in professional practice
  •  Inspire the design and implementation of educational activities in the field of digital education

After the pilot phase has been completed, the large-scale experimentation involving 90 schools in the second cycle of education, about 450 STEM and English language teachers and classes of pupils aged between 15 and 17 years is underway in Italy.  The project includes:

  • The delivery of an online course, part in asynchronous MOOC mode, starts in synchronous mode with training sessions with experts
  • Webinars to discuss and share with other European countries
  • Evaluation questionnaires on the proposed applications, which will then be used to develop recommendations at European level on the use of AI in the field of education.

Resources The progress of testing is available on the European website https://www.ai4t.eu/. An Open Book on Artificial Intelligence has been prepared within the project, which can be consulted at the following link. Guidelines on Artificial Intelligence Consult the guidelines on the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Literacy, promoted by the European Commission.
