The State Public Employment Service (SEPE) is an autonomous body attached to the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy. SEPE, together with the Public Employment Services of the Autonomous Communities, form the National Employment System. This system has taken over the functions of the former National Employment Institute (INEM) since 2003. This state structure promotes, designs and develops measures and actions for employment, the implementation of which is decentralised, adapted to the different territorial realities.
