In this 3-week training course developed by Accenture, participants will discover the essence of User Experience (UX) design and its pivotal role in the success of digital products and projects. The course will delve into the fundamentals of UX design, exploring its significance and what constitutes good usability. In addition, participants will gain insights into the daily life of a junior UX designer, assess their aptitude for the field, and pinpoint areas for skill enhancement.

Course structure

The online course is structured into three weeks:

  • Week 1: Why is user experience important?
  • Week 2: User experience basics
  • Week 3: Tools and testing

Course outcomes

Through interactive sessions, participants will grasp the importance of user research and experience design, while also learning about user testing techniques and the final stages of design development and release. By the end of the course, participants will understand the core responsibilities of a UX designer, articulate the value of top-tier UX design, and be ready to embark on their own journey in UX design.

More specifically, participants will learn:

  • Describing user experience (UX) is and its importance
  • Explaining the foundations of UX design and the potential impact on businesses
  • Identifying key approaches, attitudes and processes elements necessary for UX design
  • Describing the different stages of UX processes (‘design’, ‘develop’ and ‘release’) and what ‘user journeys’ are
  • Identifying concepts of information architecture and how good structure impacts usability
  • Identifying concepts and explaining reasons for the creation of prototypes
  • Explaining the how and why of drawing wireframes, the importance of low-to-high detail and the advantages of interactive prototypes
