Talentjourney’s goal is to contribute to tackling the skills gap in the manufacturing sector through the development of user-oriented, accessible, and eco-friendly solutions. The project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union offers an online platform for VET (Vocational Education and Training) in the field of Connectivity Devices and Services/CDS (Internet of Things in smart manufacturing).

The platform aims to provide a collaborative and engaging ecosystem where everyone can grow, attain new skills, and advance their professional development. The trainings in the platform build on professional journeys for individuals working in those fields, to promote excellence via innovative pedagogical approaches. Through this approach, participants in the programme have an opportunity to understand the top skills within the IoT field, and chart their own learning path.

Other activities, undertaken by the project include:

  • Data collection on skills needs.
  • Creation and development of transnational curricula and lifelong learning training.
  • Industry-specific trainings for professionals and workforce.
  • Support to entry-level trainers, teachers, and tutors.

Through this approach, the Talentjourney project offers an open and innovative space, which functions as a networking and knowledge-sharing ecosystem, with the aim of bringing innovation closer to the VET framework, especially in the context of IoT in manufacturing.
