The SecureHospitals.eu initiative is a specialised hub that functions as a one-stop-shop for healthcare providers when it comes to information, resources, and training on cybersecurity.

Secure Hospitals EU’s online platform offers a common online space for sharing of knowledge and good practices between key stakeholders and actors in the healthcare sector. The initiative, which received funding under the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme, aims to raise the level of cybersecurity awareness and understanding in the sector, and also to promote the uptake of innovative cybersecurity medical solutions.

Another objective of the project is to provide information on the types of cyber incidents and risks that impact hospitals and healthcare organisations. The Secure Hospitals EU Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) targets doctors, nurses and medical staff within hospitals with the aim of improve their information and communication technology (ICT) skills and building their capacity to protect sensitive data.

The initiative also provides other learning resources and training materials, including guidance and technical advice and information on network security and the protection of data in a medical setting and offers a valuable resource for the digitalisation processes in hospitals and healthcare organisations.
