ICTSKills4All is a European project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme, that aims at providing digital skills to aged people with limited digital knowledge. The project aims to answer the specific individual needs of citizens above the age of 55, specifically focusing on the acquisition of digital skills by this target group. Hence, the initiative concretely explores and tests innovative practices and effective approaches for educational program design and delivery, to support the acquisition of digital skills among older citizens, who have limited or no digital knowledge.

By improving digital literacy among old adults, one of the main goals of the project is to benefit future attempts and types of training programs created for this audience (such as senior universities, courses for retired people etc.). Indeed, the initiative aims generally at improving and extending the relevant education offer and quality learning opportunities available for 55+ aged citizens in Europe.

To achieve these ambitious goals, ICTSkills4All set up a particular methodology that brings together a diversified group of experts and different types of organisations, as well as involving younger people to test different approaches to promote quality information and communication technology (ICT) skills acquisition. In this way, the partners of the project aims also to bridge the generational gap between older and young people in the digital field.

ICTSkills4All project will contribute to foster inclusion, active citizenship and participation amongst seniors, as well as promote growing interest in ICTs and new digital tools and sources.
