EPALE is an open electronic platform initiative, launched by the European Commission to support and promote better learning opportunities for adults. This includes formal, vocational and training providers from all sectors, with a strong focus on online learning and good practices in learning and teaching.

EPALE is an open membership community of different learning professionals, which includes educators, trainers, academics, stakeholders and policymakers. Funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, EPALE aims to support and enhance the quality and availability of adult learning provision across Europe. To achieve this, EPALE works with a wide range of partners to provide relevant and reliable information to the entire adult community, from all backgrounds and levels of knowledge with a special focus on educators and professionals in the training field.

EPALE’s database includes multilingual content in several formats: blog posts, policy developments, good practices, news, resources and events. All resources, activities and insight from the platform is also accessible by anyone interested or working in the Vocational and non-formal education sector. The initiative promotes the connections and the exchange among its members across Europe, by providing a virtual meeting place for adult learning practitioners and organisations at European level as well as knowledge-sharing and capacity building. Users of the platform can also access a dedicated Partner Search Tool, enabling them to connect with organisations and businesses throughout the EU and collaborate on projects.
